Thank you Kidde for sending us this map showing which states have carbon monoxide and smoke alarm legislation enacted or pending. Even if your state does not have legislation requiring the use of smoke alarms or carbon monoxide detectors, we think every home should have these lifesaving devices. Also, if you installed carbon monoxide detectors in your home five years ago or more, it is now time to replace those devices. Consider the new Kidde CO detectors, which have a 7 year life.
