Power your IP Thermostat (sold separately) and connect it to your LAN with the IP Thermostat Power Adapter. Since it has two different Ethernet ports, only a single IP Thermostat Power Adapter is required for thermostat connection to your local network and ultimately to the Internet. And since the IP Thermostat Power Adapter attaches to your thermostat via Ethernet cabling (cat. 5 wiring sold separately), there is no need for a separate proprietary wiring scheme. The Power Adapter is a passive 110 punch-down block that provides power to the IP Thermostat over the cat. 5 wiring and easy patch-cable connectivity to your LAN switch or router. The Ethernet Power Adapter provides power and network connection for up to two IP Thermostats.
