Sylvania 28W Octron FO28 XP Supersaver Ecologic lamps operate on standard T8 instant start ballasts and provide 12.5 percent energy savings over standard 32W T8 lamps. At 10 cents per kWh and 4000 hours of operation per year, this amounts to savings of nearly six dollars per fixture per year, for a four lamp fixture using a normal ballast factor instant start ballast. Additional savings are possible with Sylvania QHE or PSX ballasts. The 94 percent lumen maintenance of the FO28/800XP/SS/ECO lamp assures that light levels are maintained while energy is saved.
